ISG Builds Data Centers Together With Customers

Tsentr Khraneniya Dannykh, an affiliate of ISG, a well-known Russian IT integrator, announces the beginning of construction of the third Moscow data storage and processing center. TsKhD calls for the customers’ investments to aid with the construction.

The new data center will be one of the must high-tech facilities in Russia, and its construction will take no more than one year. For the first time ever in the data center industry, the share-based participation has been proposed to the prospective customers of the center in question, enabling them to reduce the future cost of operating external computing facilities by half or even more. For example, the savings of an organization leasing 50 server cabinets will comprise about $1M annually, while its share of participation in the construction is a commensurable figure. There can be no doubt that the current financial crisis makes this mode of investment a better option for the customers than the construction of their own data centers.

This offer of cooperation is extended to telecom operators, content providers, hosting centers, credit institutions, and other organizations requiring powerful computing resources. The minimum lot for participation in the project is 1 million dollars.

The new data center will have the total surface area of 3000 sq. m., more than half of which will be occupied by the computer room with 450 telecom and server cabinets. Total power supply of the data center will comprise 4 MW. The data center will be located in the South-Eastern District of Moscow. It will be compliant with the strictest Tier-3 requirements.

According to the Sergey Shurshalin, TsKhD CEO, the company’s existing experience of successful data centers construction and its well-established contacts with state-of-the-art hardware suppliers, will enable them to erect the new facility in 9 to 12 months, while observing all the necessary quality standards.
